The management of Elizade Auto Land Ltd, has expressed satisfaction with the performance of JAC vehicle range after carrying out a 120-days test-run on the various models of the vehicles which include passengers cars and truck.

The test-run which started in the first quarter of the year saw Elizade Auto Land Ltd handing over 18 JAC vehicles to Evans Medical Plc, Nestle Nigeria Plc, Cybele Cosmetics Ltd, Lagos Taxi Drivers Unions, Redolent Favours, Nigalex Nigeria Aluminum Extrusions Ltd, Syndicated Industries Ltd and God is Good Driving School, Ibadan to test-run and report back their findings to Elizade Auto Land.

Speaking at the official closing ceremony of the test-run at Sheraton Hotel, Ikeja recently, the chairman Elizade Auto Land, Dr. Herbert Ajayi stated: “We can confidently say that we have achieved what we set out for with this JAC compatibility rest-run, adding that the company would not relent in offering quality automobiles and services to its customers.

The chairman said It was in line with the company’s resolve to support every sector of the Nigerian economy that they acquired the license to be the sole distributors of the JAC vehicles in Nigeria with their new subsidiary, Elizade Auto Land.

According to him, their thought initially was to bring the vehicles as cost effective automobile brand alternative for prospective buyers. But while was laudable, they needed to ascertain that the vehicles they were bringing were compatible with the Nigerian environment and capacity to deliver.

While the test-run lasted, Dr. Ajayi said that they followed the workings of the vehicles closely throughout the 120 days and every observation was well documented and sent to JAC manufacturers in China and so far they were satisfied with the results.
Also speaking at the occasion, the managing director  Elizade Auto Land, Mr. Demola Ade-Ojo said that the day was one of historic importance in the history of the company, adding that the JAC brand has come to stay.

He said, for every for two years, we have delivered on our promise to provide the best in automobile sales, after-sales-service and provision of genuine spare parts. “Our foray into searching for more cost-effective auto brand alternative to our costumers’ needs is what has brought us here today.

Our commitment to satisfying our customers’ needs and establishing best quality is what constantly drives us. As we all know, the JAC test-run for compatibility has come to an end,” he said.

The managing director pointed out that the JAC cars are not new to Nigeria, but we decided that we would like to lend more structure and credibility to the importation of these cars into the country. In reaching our to the JAC parent company in China, Elizade Auto Land, a division of Elizade Nigeria Ltd, decided that a quality/compatibility check had to be carried out to ascertain that these JAC vehicles could perform satisfactory in the Nigerian environment.

Continuing, he said, “as a company, Elizade Auto Land is committed to delivering great value to her customers around the country. What we have done with the JAC vehicles testing is no different in terms of delivery value.

Apart from the fact that we are working with JAC manufacturers in China to provide a cost-effect alternative for automobile buyers in Nigeria, we are also committed to providing appropriate facilities for sales-after-sales services and genuine spare parts for these vehicles.

He disclosed hat they are currently building standard workshops and showrooms in Lagos. “Also, there are trained technicians on ground to ensure that the vehicles will always be properly maintained. Availability of spare parts is also part of the value added package that we are offering our customers,” he stated.

“As we have finished the test-run exercise, we are glad to inform you that we are here to stay. We wold continue to provide the best in automobiles sales-after-sales services and genuine spare parts to our esteemed clients,” he promised.

Also speaking at the occasion, the representative of JAC Motors from China, Mr. Larida Lu said that his company took comments, observations and performance ratings of the vehicles from companies that participated in the programme in terms of functionality and value derived, saying that every little observation was documented for them to further their research and make the vehicles more compatible with the Nigeria climate.

Disclosing that a similar research was carried out in Brazil by the company in Brazil, the JAC representative said that their brand was not new to Africa. “For many years JAC has supplied vehicles to different nations of the world and Africa,” adding that they were known for providing durable and functional vehicles. According to him, the company supplies more than 10,000 units of high trucks annually to African countries.
