Dufil Prima donates multi-million naira lab equipment to Lagos schools

Dufil Prima Foods Plc, makers of Nigeria’s preferred Noodles Brand,
Indomie Instant Noodles, has once again contributed its quota to the growth of science education in Lagos State by donating laboratory equipment worth millions of naira to Magbon Segun Community Senior High School, Ibeju-Lekki, Lagos.

The company had earlier donated Science laboratory equipment to Jubilee Model School, Orile Coker Aguda, Shomolu Juniour High School, Ibadan Grammar School, Molete, Ode Remo High School, Lakowe Community High School and Kosofe Senior High School, Ketu, among others.

But speaking at the presentation at Magbon Segun Community Senior High School, Mr. Tope Ashiwaju, Public Relations/ Event Manager, Dufil Prima Foods Plc, explained that the donation was part of Dufil Prima Foods’ corporate social responsibility initiative tailored towards community development in the short and long term.

Dufil Prima Foods Plc believes so much in sustainable CSR projects especially on education because we feel educating and empowering our children today will create a thriving platform for a better tomorrow. The growth of Science and Technology in Nigeria is very important to national growth and development,” he said.

While urging the pupils to make proper use of the science equipment,Ashiwaju projected that with the needed improvements in the nation’s Science and Technology education, Nigeria would eventually have the required man power in various science related fields and rely less on foreigners. Dufil will however return to evaluate the level of progress and impact the equipment has had on the students’ performance in science subjects,” he assured.

Also speaking at the event, Mr. Olakunle Da Silva who represented the Director of School Affairs, Lagos State District 3, affirmed that Dufil Prima Foods Plc, by virtue of the donation, had assisted the Lagos State Government to achieve the major thrust of its Lagos ‘Eko’ project which is aimed at equipping schools in subjects such as English, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry and Biology.

The Principal, Mr. Oluwakayode James, who was visibly elated, received the equipment on behalf of the school and expressed his appreciation to Dufil Prima Foods Plc while assuring that the equipment would be effectively used and maintained in building future leaders for the nation.
