AKURE— ONDO State Governor, Dr Olusegun Mimiko, Tuesday, sought more collaboration of the state governments with the United Nations Children Fund, UNICEF, towards improving the well-being of children.
Mimiko made the demand in his office in Akure while playing host to officials of the fund led by its country representative in Nigeria, Ms Jean Gouch.
The governor noted that the future of Nigeria depends absolutely on the level of investment made on the well-being of the children.
He assured of his administration’s continuous support for child-promoting programmes, including provision of adequate healthcare and qualitative education.
