Speaking at a press conference in ilorin,Alh Sanusi dismissed insinuations that the club was in crisis saying  that, the formation of the committee was  to ensure effective performances of the club in the Nigeria Professional League and also in the international outings.

He noted  that, the earlier board of the club constituted by the state government headed by Mr. Bamidele Aluko now  ceased to be in-charge   of the club but will henceforth serve as advisory to the club.

Sanusi said the new development became necessary because government was not  happy with the way and manner the finances of the club were being handled to the extent that it  led to the non payment of salaries, allowances and other match bonuses as at and when due.

According to him,”the setting up of the committee for the club by Governor Abdulfatah Ahmed is to see to the growth of the club especially in the ongoing national professional league table and other international outings of the club”.

He said that, the new management committee was also constituted to follow the rules and regulations of the national professional league since the earlier board constituted was a non executive one.

Sanusi added that, “Kwara state government  set up our committee on how to move the Kwara United FC forward and how to move it to a greater height”.
