CSR: Capital Express furnishes Naval school archives

The flag officer commanding Western Naval Command, Rear Admiral Ibok Ete Ibas has commended the management of Capital Express Assurance Limited for donating and furnishing an archives’ building for the Nigerian Navy Secondary School, Navy Town, Ojo, in Lagos.

Ibas made the commendation at the official commissioning of the building recently at the school premises in Ojo.

Ibas who dedicated the building to the glory of God and benefit of mankind enjoined the school management to put the facility to judicious use, noting that data and records are important to any organisation.

Also speaking at the occasion, wife of the Chief of Naval Staff and National President of the Nigerian Navy Officer’s Wives Association Mrs. Vivian Ezeoba thanked the management of Capital Express Assurance Limited.

Managing Director/Chief Executive Officer of Capital Express Assurance Limited, Mrs. Bola Odukale said that the donation was part of the corporate social responsibility of the organisation towards uplifting the educational sector and development of the Nigerian child.

According to her, “Education remains the catalyst that will propel our country to the next level; therefore our company will continue to partner with schools that have embraced insurance as a way of life.”

She maintained that Capital Express Assurance will continue to support schools because “Qualitative and functional education is and will remain the only permanent legacy parents or guardians can pass on to the children to ensure their future,” she said.

In a related development, Capital Express has promoted fifty of its staff cutting across managerial and officers cadre in the organisation. While five of the staff became managers, eight became assistant managers, 20 became senior executive officers while the remaining 17 became officers from the assistant officers cadre.

Odukale enjoined the promoted staff to rededicate themselves to duty while urging those who were not promoted during this exercise to work hard as promotion will surely come at the right time.

According to her “The organisation is being restructured to ensure that the customer remains king in all its customer service deliverables”

She stated that the organisation is committed to becoming the largest life insurance office in Nigeria while maintaining that only a dedicated workforce can make this happen.
