Group calls on Erewa, Aganbi to contest elective positions

A GROUP, Proper Inheritance Political Associates (PIPA), has called on two illustrious sons of Iwere land, Dr. Meyiwa Erewa and Mr. Andrew Aganbi to contest for the Warri Federal House of Representatives slot and Warri North Local Government chairmanship slot respectively in the forthcoming elections.

In a statement jointly signed yesterday by the chairman of the group, Chief Sam Eyengho, [The Tieyemewei of Gbaramtu kingdom] secretary, Mr. Pekia Egodo and PRO, Mr. Eugene Eyube, called on Dr. Meyiwa Erewa, pioneer PDP Chairman in Warri South Local Government Area, seasoned administrator and successful businessman to contest for the seat of House of Representatives, Warri Federal Constituency come 2015.

The vibrant group that is made up of seasoned politicians across the state who are committed to good governance also called on Mr. Andrew Aganbi to contest for the chairmanship slot of Warri North Local Government Council in the forthcoming local government elections.

According to the group, “the call become necessary because right now what the Warri Federal constituency needs is a pragmatic and realistic grassroot politician that feels the pains, yearnings
and aspirations of all in the constituency; politician that will give quality and robust representation that will ensure dividends of democracy.

“Since the inception of this new political dispensation in 1999, the House of Representatives seat has not been occupied by any politician from Warri South Local Government Area. Justice, equity and fair play demands that in 2015 Warri South should produce the next member, House of Representatives in the Federal Constituency. And the person that best fits the position will be Dr. Meyiwa Erewa because he is an experienced, loyal and faithful party member”.

While at the Local Government Area level, PIPA called on Mr. Andrew Aganbi, another professional and business guru who has over the years associated with the political yearnings and aspirations of his people at the grassroot level to vie for the chairmanship of Warri North LGA in the forthcoming local government elections.

The group appealed to the two gentlemen to heed to their call to enable them join forces with all progressives in Warri Federal Constituency to make their mission successful, adding that Governor Emmanuel Uduaghan should prevail on the DSIEC chairman to allow a level playing ground for all aspirants, for their mission to be a complete one.
