Bauchi—Bauchi State High Court, presided over by the State Chief Judge, Justice Ibrahim Zango, has nullified the report of the Judicial Commission of Inquiry set up by the State Government to investigate the activities of government ministries and parastatals between 1999 to May 2007.
Justice Zango nullified the Commission report, yesterday, when he ruled in a suit filed by one Alhaji Lawal Baraza, who was asked by the commission to refund over 3.6billion.
Baraza was said to have challenged the decision of the commission and Bauchi State Government white paper that indicted him, asking the court to quash the government decision.
In his ruling, Justice Zango granted an order for certiorari and quashed the proceedings of the Judicial Commission of Inquiry into the management of some ministries, Parastatals and extra ministerial departments of the Public service of Bauchi State, from May 1999 to May 2007.
