South East governors have indicated interest to attend the first Ndigbo international conference in Hamburg, Germany, on August 18, 2013.
The governors include Sullivan Chime of Enugu State; Thoedore Orji of Abia State; Peter Obi of Anambra State; Owelle Rochas Okorocha of Imo State; Martin Elechi of Ebonyi State and Chibuike Amaechi of Rivers State, the only South-South governor attending the parley.
The conference being organised by the German chapter of Igbozurume, a pan-Igbo group led by Chief Achuzia, will also have Ndigbo from across various parts of the globe in attendance to discuss matters concerning Ndigbo.
Chairman, Igbozurume Germany, Ambassador John Bosco Onyeke said: “We have been seeking to organise our people to brainstorm on what it really means to be Igbo from the German perspective and we thank God that the time has come for the first Ndigbo conference in Germany.
“The chief host of the conference is Eze Peter Godwin, Eze Ndigbo of Germany, who is our grand patron. I am very grateful to Chief Achuzia for embarking on mobilization of the world to the conference”.
