LAGOS — A 34-year-old man, Taofeek Adegbola, who was allegedly caught with a locally made pistol and two expended AK-47 ammunition, was arraigned Tuesday, in a Lagos Magistrate Court sitting at Ikeja.
Adegbola, who was docked before Mrs A.O. Demi-Ajayi, is facing a two-count charge of conspiracy and unlawful possession of arms.
The police prosecutor, Asp Barth Nwaokoye, told the court that the suspect, and others at large, conspired together to commit the alleged offence at about 10.30 p.m. on May 14, 2013, at 21, Ladipo Street, in Mushin area of Lagos.
The defendant pleaded not guilty to the charges preferred against him by the police.
The magistrate, however granted the defendant bail in the sum of N500, 000 with two sureties in like sum and adjourned the matter to July 24,2013.
