Nigeria’s U-20 team, the Flying Eagles, on Monday expressed confidence that they would have a good outing at the 2013 U-20 World Cup in Turkey.
Samm Audu, the team’s media officer, who said this in a statement in Abuja, declared that the team were the first in Group B to arrive in Kayseri, Turkey.
The statement said the team flew from Munich, Germany, to Istanbul where they connected a local flight to Kayseri.
They are expected to play two group games there before heading to Istanbul for their final group game.
“An official from the Nigerian embassy in Turkey as well as the team’s liaison officer, Seckin Cakmakoglu, received the team on arrival at the Istanbul airport at about 4 pm local time” the statement said.
