LAGOS —A 39-year-old man, Musa Wurno, was, Wednesday, arraigned before an Ikeja Magistrate Court, for allegedly stealing $50,000 belonging to one Mrs Uayemen Okhimanhe.
Wurno, who is facing a two-count charge bordering on conspiracy and stealing levelled against him by the Police was said to operate a bureau de change.
The police prosecutor, Asp Barth Nwaokoye, told the court that the accused and one other person at large conspired to commit the offence on November 21, 2011.
He said the offence was committed at a new generation bank, on Ademola Adetokunbo Street, in Victoria Island, Lagos.
Nwaokoye said that the defendant stole the $50,000 which is an equivalent of N8 million, property of Mrs Uayemen Okhimanhe.
According to the prosecutor, he said the offence committed contravenes Section 285 and 409, Criminal Laws of Lagos State 2011.
However, when the charge was read the defendant who resides at 68E Salau Estate, Makoko, Lagos pleaded not guilty.
