Ikuforiji: Counsel to EFCC withdraws

Counsel to Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, Mr. Godwin Obla, Tuesday, withdrew his representation in the case against Speaker, Lagos State House of Assembly, Adeyemi Ikuforiji, charge with money laundering.

Ikuforiji and his personal assistant, Alade Atoyebi are standing trial before Justice Okechukwu Okeke of a Federal High Court on a 20-count charge of money laundering.

When the case was mentioned, a representative of EFCC, Mr. A. Yusuf, informed the court of a letter of withdrawal written by the prosecutor, Obla, in which he seeks to withdraw his representation as counsel to EFCC.

Yusuf told the court that the letter was filed and served on all parties on April 8, informing them of the withdrawal.
