LP moves to reclaim seat in Bayelsa House

Yenagoa — Leaders of Labour Party in Bayelsa State have announced their decision to resort to legal battle to reclaim the only seat won by the party in the state House of Assembly during the 2011 general elections, currently occupied by the Deputy Chief Whip of the House, Mr Tonye Isenah.

Isenah, who won the Assembly seat to represent Constituency 1 of the Kolokuma-Opokuma council  in the 2011 assembly poll, however, resigned from the party in January 2012 and joined the ruling Peoples Democratic Party, PDP.

Leaders of Labour Party, in a statement, yesterday, in Yenagoa by the state Secretary, Mr. Jonny Ben, resolved to constitute a legal team to challenge the resignation of  Isenah in court.
