OYO State High Court has restated that the order it made which restrained the state government from demolishing the Celestial Church of Christ, Onala Parish, on Mokola/Sango Road, Ibadan still subsists.
This was disclosed by Justice O. I Aiki while presiding over the case filed by the Church before the court.
Subsequently, she said the order should be served on the defendants within 48 hours.
In the Suit No. I/1144/2012, Kolawole Olakanmi, the Sheperd in charge of the Church had dragged Oyo State Government to court.
The church prayed the court to restrain the government and its agents in Ministries of Justice, Lands, Housing and Surveys, Agriculture, Natural Resources and Rural Development, Physical Planning and Urban Development from demolishing or tampering with the Church Building.
