WARRI—A Delta State High Court sitting in Effurun has dismissed the preliminary objection by the Eruowho royal family in Uvwie Kingdom, Uvwie Local Government Area of the state, claiming there was only one ruling house in the kingdom, which had exclusive preserve to the Ovie stool.
Trial judge, Justice Onajife Kuejubola, in her ruling, said: “The grounds enumerated upon, which the notice of objection is predicated, cannot stand, as they are devoid of merit. Consequently, the notice of preliminary objection lacking in merit is overruled and dismissed accordingly.”
Plaintiffs in the case are Mr. Philip Tutubu, Mr. Stanley Misoni and others, while the defendants are Imedo family, represented by Chief Oboride Akvwia, Chief Izobo Dabone and Ajayi Okoroduwa.
