Ondo people won’t submit to emperors, by Mimiko

AKURE—Ahead  of the October  10, gubernatorial election in Ondo State, Governor Olusegun Mimiko has declared that the people of the state would not give in to the dictates of an ‘emperor’, submitting  also that the order of politics in the state does not give room for ‘District Officers’ or ‘Colonial Masters.’

Speaking while receiving scores of leaders of Action Congress of Nigeria,ACN, and Peoples’ Democratic Party, PDP,  who defected to the ruling Labour Party, LP,  from Akoko, weekend, Mimiko said the election would be determined by the people of the state and not by proxy or imposition of an emperor.

He said the people of the state would not give room for those he called ”Districts Officers or Colonial masters” because the people would reject such order of politics.
