War against crime: Orji donates 25 vehicles to soldiers


IN a bid to strengthen the security situation in the state, Abia state Governor, Chief Theodore Orji has donated 25 brand new patrol vans fully equipped with security and communication gadgets to the 14 Brigade of the Nigerian Army at Ohafia.

Orji said the vehicles were to help the soldiers in checking all forms of criminal activities in the state even as he commended them for their diligence in fighting crimes in the state.

Presenting the vans to the Commander of the 14 Brigade Nigerian Army, Brigadier-General Jubrin Tanko Abubakar, Orji said that procuring patrol vans to the security agencies in the state has become an annual event for his Government and expressed happiness that it has been yielding good result.

Orji said that the patrol vans would help the soldiers to secure the state, pointing out that the state has already advanced in security network and “it is now time to sustain the peace and security that has been going on in the State”.
