Vice President Namadi Sambo has denied media reports that he was pushing for a declaration of a state of emergency in Kaduna state as a way of getting governor Patrick Yakowa out of office for his alleged closeness to Senator Ahmad Makarfi.
In a statement in Abuja, the Vice president dismissed the reports as mere fabrications and lies meant to create disaffection.
The statement signed by Umar Sani, Senior Special Assistant (Media and Publicity) to the Vice President reads:
”Our attention has been drawn to media reports alleging that the Vice President Arc Mohammed Namadi Sambo in a purported pursuit of a presidential ambition and in order to get at Governor Patrick Ibrahim Yakowa of Kaduna State ostensibly for his supposed closeness with former Governor Ahmed Mohamed Makarfi was pushing for an imposition of a State-of-Emergency rule in Kaduana State. That is mere fabrications and lies meant to create disaffection,”
