The management of Shooting Stars of Ibadan has disclosed their fears in today’s week 28 of the Nigerian Premier League.
Making this known to Vanguard Inside Out Premier League from Ibadan, Media Officer of the team, Jubril Arowolo said the management of Sunshine Stars have made it difficult for them to honour the tie with their supporters fully on ground because of the allegation against it to league authority.
According to Arowolo, “the club is highly embarrassed with the allegation. It is on records that Shooting Stars have never been indicted in any form of illegalities before in the league, so for the management of Sunshine Stars to allege that we are bringing thugs to Ijebu-Ode was the highest peak of irresponsibility,” he said.
He also noted that, “3SC is known for fair play anywhere and anytime regardless of any circumstance therefore this game will not be an exception. We are not desperate in anyway to warrant us to want to win the match through illegal means.
“We call on the league authority to monitor the match and see the best of fair play from our players, officials and fans before, during and after the match,” Aworolo pleaded.
