Chairmen of the South-West States Football Association are scheduled to meet with all Nigeria National League and Nigeria Nation-Wide League club-sides in the zone on Thursday, June 21, 2012 at the Liberty Stadium, Ibadan to address issues of poor outing by the clubs in zone.
According to a communique issued by the South-West coordinator, Chief Taiwo Ogunjobi, the chairmen in the zone were not happy seeing five (5) clubs going on relegation from the National League at the end of the just concluded season.
“The F.A South-West Chairmen are meeting all the National League and Nation-Wide League teams in the South-West to look for way-forward because we are not happy with their performance in this year’s league, we want to meet them and ask them why they failed to click.”
The South-West football association leaders expected at the meeting are: Barr. Oluseyi Akinwumi of Lagos State, Alhaji Ganiyu Majekodunmi of Ogun State, Barr. Leye Adepoju of Oyo State, Chief Taiwo Ogunjobi of Osun State, Otunba Dele Ajayi of Ondo State, and Dr. Issac Ayodele of Ekiti State. South-West representatives on the board of Nigeria National League Kunle Sonami, and Nigeria Nation-Wide League Dele Odugbemi are also expected to grace the meeting.
The clubs expected at the parley include: Crown FC of Ogbomosho, Fountain FC of Ado-Ekiti, Prime FC of Oshogbo, Ilesha-West FC, Olorunda United of Oshogbo, FC Ebedei of Sagamu, Bolowotan FC of Ikorodu, Remo Stars of Remo, Union Bank of Lagos, Bridge Boys of Lagos, Ajiroba Ooni of Ile-Ife, First Bank of Lagos, Gateway FC of Abeokuta, Afijio FC of Oyo town, Ila FC and Gray’s FC of Ede.
