Alleged power tussle: Ogun PDP lambasts Oyinlola

Ogun State chapter of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, yesterday lambasted the National Secretary of the party, Prince Olagunsoye Oyinlola over his power tussle with the National Chairman, Dr. Bamanga Tukur.

In a statement by the Director of Organisation of the party, Mr. Segun Showunmi, said it was laughable that Oyinlola could accuse some persons of having no regard for the laws and constitution of the party when he is the champion of illegalities.

“It is the heights of double speak for a man who unabashedly encourages the disobedience of court orders and judgments to be accusing the National Chairman of our great party and his aides of not having regard for the laws and constitution of the party,” it said.

The party noted that Oyinlola and his god-father had continued to over-reach themselves against the judgment of a Federal High Court which nullified the South-West Zonal Congress.

“The court not only nullified the zonal congress which also produced Oyinlola, it sacked Mr. Segun Oni as Vice-Chairman of the party, as well as Mr. Bode Mustapha as the National Auditor of the party.

“The said Mustapha is not an accountant even when the constitution of the party said the National Auditor shall be an accountant,”, the statement added.
