Rainstorm wreaks havoc at Ohafia

UMUAHIA—SEVERE windstorm has wreaked havoc at Ohafia town, Abia State, destroying structures at the Federal Government College.

Among the structures destroyed in the school were the perimeter fencing, hostel gates and  roofs of classroom blocks and other buildings.

Also destroyed were the blocks housing office of the vice-principal (administration) and vice-principal  (academics), as well as the newly built multi-purpose hall.

According to the principal of the school, Mr. Greg Enya, said the damage as enormous, lamenting that the damaged perimeter fencing had exposed the SS3 students taking their WAEC examinations to danger.

He called on the Federal Government to come to their assistance by renovating the destroyed structures.
