IBADAN—OYO State Police Command gave fresh directive for the arrest of the two wanted leaders of the National Union of Road Transport Workers, NURTW, in the state, Alhaji Lateef Akinsola aka Tokyo and Alhaji Mukaila Lamidi, aka Auxiliary, over previous crises that led to loss of lives of innocent citizens in the state last year.
State Commissioner of Police, Mr. Tambari Mohammed, said this after a closed-door meeting with other security chiefs in the state.
At the meeting were the Director of the State Security Service, SSS, in the state, Mr. Ndubuisi Ngwu; State Commandant of National Drug Law and Enforcement Agency, NDLEA, Mr. Sulaiman Jadi; State Commandant of Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps, NSCDC, Mr. Stephen Paito and Nigeria Immigration Service, NIS, among others.
He said as far as the police command was concerned, the two NURTW leaders remained on the wanted list and that he would do everything possible to get them arrested.
He said: “As far as the police command is concerned, we have declared them wanted and by the grace of God, we shall get them.”
