Military pensioners seek capital punishment for N700bn pension fraud

UGHELLI-NATIONAL Association of Military Pensioners, NAMP, has recommended capital punishment for those allegedly involved in the embezzlement of N700 billion pension fund.

NAMP, in a statement, yesterday, said such persons have no justification to live, while pensioners and their families were dying of hunger and diseases.

The pensioners in the statement by National President, Mr Benson Eromafuru, appealed to the Federal Government not to further delay their 53 per cent harmonised increment and their February, 2012 pension.

Urging President Goodluck Jonathan not to allow himself to be used in the alleged trade of military pension, he enjoined the President to provide money for the payment of their arrears and February, 2012 pension without delay.
