LAGOS—The scheduled Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, ward congress in Lagos State could not hold in some local government areas and wards, weekend, as two factions within the party could not agree on the modalities for the presentation of candidates for election.
However, ward congress elections, which was conducted, weekend, took place in some local government areas, such as Mushin, Lagos Island and some parts of Oshodi/Isolo.
At the state party’s secretariat in GRA, Ikeja, the Musiliu Obanikoro-led reconciliation committee continued with it’s reconciliation drive by ensuring that the 13 offices that were available at the ward level, were equitably shared between the Ogunlewe and Bode George camps.
