BENIN—Edo State Command of the State Security Services, SSS, Tuesday, paraded 11 suspected kidnappers, including two girls, said to be girlfriends to two of the suspects.

The state Director of the SSS, Mr Bello Bakori, who paraded the suspects before Governor Adams Oshiomhole, said they were arrested in different parts of the state following investigation that they were involved in the kidnap of some individuals whom he did not mention for security reasons.

Governor Oshiomhole, who interrogated the suspects at the SSS Command in Benin City, expressed joy that the state was winning the war against kidnapping and admonished youths to be hard working, because “hard work has no substitute. There are still opportunities in Nigeria for those who want to struggle.”

Commending the officers who were involved in the raid for their patriotism and sacrifice, Oshiomhole said the state government would continue to appreciate the efforts until “we mop up all these kidnappers in our midst.”
