A set of Nigerian-born quadruplets has become the UK’s first to graduate from the same university.
The 23-year-old quadruplets, identical sisters, Tokunbo and Temitope and identical brothers, Tobi and Tolu Ogunsanya, graduated from Warwick University with Masters Degrees.
The quadruplets from Lagos State told newsmen in London on Saturday that the decision to study at the same university was “natural’’.
“The fact that we all chose to study at the University of Warwick was a natural decision as we are a close-knit family; we were all attracted by the strength of the courses on offer,’’ Tobi said.
He said that as with any family, “there can be a bit of competition between us when it comes to our studies; we like to think of it as a healthy rivalry and we all supported each other through the course.’’
Temitope, who shared her experience on campus, said often times; people mistook her for her sister, Tokunbo.
“On campus when people I don’t know wave at me, I tend to ignore, then I get a call from Toks (Tokunbo) later telling me that I was apparently rude to her friend.’’
The quadruplets, who also expressed appreciation for their parents’ support, said their mother would be “four times as proud of us.’’ (NAN)
