Nasarawa guber poll: Appeal Court reserves judgment


The Court of Appeal sitting in Makurdi, Benue State, Friday reserved judgment in the appeal filed by former governor of Nasarawa State and candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in the last April governorship poll, Alhaji Aliyu Akwe Doma against the judgment of Nasarawa State Election Petition Tribunal  which had ruled in favour of incumbent governor of the state and candidate of the Congress for Progressive Change (CPC) at the poll, Alhaji Umaru Tanko Almakura.

The three-man tribunal headed by Justice fred Obieze had, on November 12,2011,confirmed the victory of Alhaji Umaru Tanko Almakura even as a minority judgment by one of the three justices, Akin Oladimeji had awarded victory to the former governor.
