Xmas: Jonathan pledges to prioritise infrastructure, power, job creation , others

Abuja – President Goodluck Jonathan on Saturday said his administration would continue to work diligently towards redirecting national resources from wasteful and unproductive areas to identified priority sectors.

The President gave the assurance in his Christmas message to Nigerians.

He identified the key sectors to be given priority attention to include infrastructure, power supply, job creation, education, agriculture, health and social services.

Jonathan thanked Nigerians for their continued faith in his administration as it strive to fulfill its promise of national transformation.

He assured all Nigerians that significant progress would be made in the implementation of his agenda for national transformation in the coming year.

The President said  that he would continue to count on the support, cooperation and goodwill of Nigerians as the administration strove to quicken the pace of development across the country.

He rejoiced with all Nigerians, especially Christians in the country, on the happy occasion of Christmas.

Jonathan urged them to reflect on the themes of piety, love, honesty, patience, humility, selflessness and sacrifice, for the good of all which dominated Biblical accounts of Christ’s mission on earth.
