UGHELLI – THE Delta State House of Assembly, yesterday, inaugurated Olorogun Taleb Tebite as the new member representing Ughelli South constituency in the House, following the sacking of Mr Eme Mukoro by the Appeal Court sitting in Benin, Edo State.
The Court of Appeal had on Monday, ruled in favour of Tebite, following an appeal by him, challenging the election of Mukoro of Democratic Peoples Party, DPP to the House.
Tebite who was sworn-in at about 11:00am, said his return to the House was an act of God.
The legislator, who fielded questions from newsmen shortly after his swearing-in, thanked the people of his constituency for their support and reiterated his resolve to continue with his agenda for the people.
He said he was elated joining his colleagues in the House and expressed his readiness to work with the Speaker and other members of the House with a view to developing all parts of the state.
Tebite promised to ensure that the people of his constituency got their fair share in the scheme of things, adding that the development of the constituency was dear to his heart. He thanked the state Governor, Dr Emmanuel Uduaghan and his deputy, Prof Amos Utuama for the development of the council.
