Ijaw nation, under the umbrella of Ijaw Monitoring Group, IMG, has joined other well-meaning Nigerians to commiserate with the family of Ojukwu in particular and Ndigbo in general, over the death Chief Chukwuemeka Odumegwu-Ojukwu.
Ojukwu died last Saturday at a London hospital.
IMG said it was the end of an era, describing him as a symbol of Igbo greatness.
IMG described the death of the Biafran leader as a setback towards the quest for a more united Nigeria, saying the country has lost one of her patriotic and selfless leaders.
IMG said: “We express regret that one of Africa’s greatest leader has departed. It is very clear that the country is in dire need of people like him.
