As part of its effort to support educational development, Dufil Prima Foods Plc, makers of the noodle brand- Indomie instant noodles, has donated the sum of One Million, Five hundred Thousand Naira to Lagos Preparatory School in support of the ongoing Library/Media Resource Centre.
According to the Public Relations Manager, Dufil Prima Foods Plc, Mr. Temitope Ashiwaju the donation is the company’s kind gesture to the school as part of the activities for the annual ’Fun Day’ event slated to hold on 26th of November, 2011.
“As a company we believe strongly in supporting causes in the area of educational development of the Nigerian child.
This is why we are supporting education in Nigeria at all levels” he said.
Speaking on the impact of the donation, Ashiwaju remarked that building a Library and Media Resource Centre and in the school will enhance the intellectual scope of the children as it will provides basic educational materials for fast learning.
Ashiwaju further stressed that the company recently awarded a post graduate scholarship in MSC Nutrition and Dietetics to 12 deserving Nigerians in the 2011 edition of Indomie MSC Nutrition Scholarship scheme.
Responding on behalf of Lagos Preparatory School (LPS), the Chairperson of the Parents Teachers Association (PTA) Mrs. Chinwe Chikelu-Iguh thanked Dufil Prima Foods Plc for its kind gesture to the school towards realizing the dream of the Library/Media Resource Centre.
