Lobi Stars’ striker, Adikwu Gabriel has lamented the inability of the Makurdi side to clinch a continental ticket next season.
He informed Inside Out Premier League that he could not do anything to change the situation either than to accept it in good fate.
“I felt bad when I knew we will not get a continental ticket next season. I had no choice than to take it in good fate hoping for things to be better next season and will we will get it,” the light complexioned striker said.
On whether he would stay in the club next season, the pacy striker said his destination lies in the hands of God, as he does not know whether or not he would leave the team.
“I cannot really tell for now if I would still be in the club next season but I’m leaving everything in the hands of God hoping that we would be able to take the team where it want to be next season,” Adikwu added.
He expressed dissatisfaction on not scoring in his team’s last game against 3SC in Ibadan which they lost to the Ibadan side by a lone goal.
“I do not feel good about it because as a striker, you need to score goals. I managed to calm myself about it because I cannot score in every game but working as a team is what matters most.” Adikwu concluded.
