SAPELE- An emergency stakeholders meeting in Sapele Okpe over the leadership tussle in the community will hold today to proffer solution to the leadership crisis in the community.

A statement by the council’s Director of Personnel Management, Mr. Clement Anighoro, said the meeting will have in attendance, the Director of State Security Services, SSS; the Joint Task Force, JTF, Commander; Chief David Dafinone or his proxy; the current embattled Chairman of Sapele Okpe Community, Mr. Michael Igbejule, and his executive members; the Divisional Police Officer in charge of Sapele Police Command, some senior vigilante group members, representatives of Sapele men and women, and representatives of the youth wing.

A community leader, Mr. Bright Ogodo, confirmed to Vanguard that his team, to be led by their chairman, Mr. Michael Igbejule, would honour the invitation.

Efforts to reach Chief Dafinone were fruitless, but a close confidant confirmed that he was actually invited and may attend.

It will be recalled that loyalists of Mr. Igbejule and Chief Dafinone have been locked in a three-month tussle over the position of chairman of Sapele-Okpe community.
