PAN Nigeria, has officially unveiled the new Peugeot Partner Connect; and also intensified the commercial launch of the all new Peugeot 408 series and 308 series into the Nigerian automobile market at the just concluded 13th edition of Abuja International Motor Show.
Unveiling Peugeot Partner Connect and cutting the tape to kick off the commercial launch of both 408 and 308 at the Fair ground, the Honourable Minister of Trade, Investment & industry, Dr. Olusegun Aganga at the Fair Ground, acknowledged PAN Nigeria as one of the few surviving automobile plants in Nigeria.
He said PAN Nigeria is direly in need of adequate and consistent patronage and protection which according to him could only be achieved principally through the strict enforcement of the federal government’s policy of ‘Buy made in Nigeria products’. The Minister promised that his Ministry is ready to give PAN all the support and encouragement through the patronage of its products.
“As you are all aware, the ministry of trade and investment is promoting the campaign for ‘Buy made in Nigeria Products’ and with the elegance I have seen in the beautiful ‘Peugeot 308, 408 and Partner Connect’ it is a matter of time when these beautiful brides will bring back the ubiquitous 504 glory of the seventh and eighties.
“Let me assure you that this campaign of patronizing made in Nigeria Products will be vigorously pursued to ensure buy-in of all and sundry. We are looking at all the possibilities to create and generate employment and such no stone will be left unturned in term of protecting and bringing in investment into the country”.
Alhaji, Dr. Sani Dauda, (MON), Chairman, Board of Directors, PAN Nigeria, in his speech presented by Alhaji Ibrahim Kankiya, PAN Nigeria, a member of the Board of Directors said that the 408 series come in three versions, 308 in two versions and the Partner Connect now available in commercial quantities and indeed receiving tremendous acceptability nationwide, with good number of outstanding orders from our dealerships and individuals in the country.
He called on states and local governments to join the federal government in its efforts to patronize locally assembled vehicles. Dr. Dauda added that, such efforts will go a long way in creating jobs for the teeming unemployed graduates, technicians and technologists in the country.
Presenting the much-admired globally selling Peugeot’s cars to the delightful audience at the fair ground, Mrs. Kelechi Obi, Group Head, Commercial, PAN Nigeria said that Peugeot cars are known for ruggedness, durability, elegance, comfort and safety.
She said the all new Peugeot Partner Connect is a 1.4 litre engine with 5speed manual transmissions boasting fuel efficient capacity of 6.4 litres per 100 kilometres. It also comes with unique features such as Anti-Lock Braking System, Fog Lamps, CD player +6X15W Speakers, Right and Left Sliding Doors, 600kg Payload,180 degree opening Rear Doors, 14inches Steel wheels and many more.
Uniquely, Obi said both the 408 and the 308 boast of arrays of features which are unparallel with rivals describing the cars as high performance cars specifically designed to deliver results to drivers without experiencing any motoring hitch (es) on the road. She revealed that, Peugeot 408 series come in three versions, saying however that the 1-6 and 2-0 litre engine versions with automatic transmissions are available with PAN Nigeria.
