CMD laments crisis at Federal Neuropsychiatric Hospital Enugu

BY Tony Edike
ENUGU—THE newly appointed Chief Medical Director of the Federal Neuropsychiatric Hospital, Enugu, Dr Jojo Onwukwe, weekend, lamented the internal bickering that bedeviled the progress of the hospital in the past few years, and urged the stakeholders to give peace a chance to enable the administration reposition the hospital.

Speaking during the opening of the pre-qualification tender for the construction of Administrative Block, Multipurpose Building and Library Block at the hospital, Onwukwe noted with regret that the hospital had spent over two years achieving nothing due to internal bickering.

He said: “We have lost over two years in bickering between management and board which retarded the progress and development of the hospital. That singular experience is not something one would want to continue in this place in view of the kind of cases we handle.”
