Chidinma, Dr SID, others thrill fans @MTN Power of 10 Concerts

The winner of the MTN Project Fame West Africa,  Chidinma and Mo’Hits Star, Dr SID were among other popular Nigerian musicians that entertained Nigerian youths at the the ongoing MTN Power of 10 Concerts, a ten-city tour and part of activities to mark MTN at ten anniversary.

The MTN Power of 10 Concerts which kicked off in Makurdi on September 9 reached an amazing crescendo at Owerri as the Aladinma Hall, venue of the event was filled to its capacity with an excited crowd of music lovers. The evening of thrill began with a surprise opening by Mo’Hits Star, Dr. Sid who dished out hit after hit by the Mo’Hits All Stars.

After Dr. Sid had set the ball rolling, came performances by winners in the MTN Project Fame West Africa, starting from Chidinma to the sensational Mike and finally Inyanya.

The audience also had their chance to steal the show as some of them were called up to the stage to exhibit their dancing skills. The heat in the hall was tuned up when Ras Kimono’s band took the stage.

Blasting familiar reggae hit songs of the early 90’s with their trumpets; the band successfully wowed the entire crowd as they sang back to the tune in excitement. This was followed by a performance by D’Prince and finally, a very satisfactory roundup by Ikechukwu.

Speaking during the event, the General Manager, Consumer Marketing, MTN, Kola Oyeyemi, reassured MTN customers in the youth segment of its unflinching resolve to provide efficient, affordable services and opportunities that resonate with their passion and lifestyle.

Oyeyemi explained that the network will continue to explore means to reward loyal customers by offering more value through the recently launched New Value Packages and creating exciting experiences to delight them.

“The youth are the most vital segment of every society and keeping them satisfied with our services is pivotal to the success of the MTN network. After 10 years of a wonderful relationship, there is no better way to say thank you to our customers in the youth segment, than to create an opportunity for them to interact with their favorite entertainers,” He said.

MTN Power of 10 Concert train will make its  final trip in  Lagos on October 14.
