OWERRI- Chieftain of the ruling Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Chief Emmanuel Iwuanyanwu, has warned public office holders to resist the temptation of abusing powers given to them in trust.

Chief Iwuanyanwu made the plea when he received Deputy Speaker, House of Representatives, Chief Emeka Ihedioha and some of his colleagues, who paid him a condolence visit.

He said: “Some people abuse power because they think it is their birth right. They are holding the positions in trust. Abusing it would be counter productive.”

Iwuanyanwu said the leadership of the party in Imo State has remained grateful to God for repositioning Chief Emeka Ihedioha for the last National Assembly poll.
