Propelled by the zeal to contribute towards the community, First Aid and ambulance services as well as youth development St John Ambulance, recently held a walk for health to commemorate the International St John’s Day.
The walk from Ojuelegba to the Lagos University Teaching Hospital (LUTHI, Idi- Araba, witnessed a detour to visit the Chesire home for the disabled in Mushin wherein gifts and a cash presentation of about a N142, 000 were made to support the home in catering to the needs of the physically disabled.
National ID cards were issued to members of the St John Ambulance, Lagos to serve as an official identity for all members with the logos of St John and Nigeria, the holder’s name, signatory as well as a specific no peculiar to the holder/member
Commissioner Patrick Orumbie said in Lagos there are 15 secondary schools with St John Ambulance units involved in training for morals and First Aid.
