NSUKKA – An international scholar and Professor of Biotechnology, James Chukwuma  Ogbonna, is to deliver the 61st University of Nigeria, Nsukka, UNN, Inaugural Lecture at the end of this month.

Ogbonna, president, Biotechnology Society of Nigeria, as well as the Foundation for African Development through International Biotechnology, FADIB, will speak on ‘’Biotechnology and the future of human existence’’ during the lecture which will attract academics from all over the country and beyond.

 A statement by the UNN stated that among those expected  were the Director- General, National Biotechnology Development Agency, Prof B. Solomon, and other stakeholders from government, public and private sectors.

According to the statement, the importance of biotechnology in national development, current trends in biotechnology research and development; current and potential applications as well as ethical issues associated with various aspects of biotechnology, will be highlighted  during the event which holds at Prince Alexandra Auditorium in the university.
