President General of  the Nigeria Football Supporters Club, Rafiu Ladipo has called on the Nigeria Football Federation to ensure the money realised from the Globacom 5-year sponsorship deal was judiciously utilised in the development of the game in Nigeria.

The Nigerian telecommunications giants recently sealed a N1.8 billion 5-year deal with the NFF that covers all the national teams and Ladipo who was in the middle of the entire negotiations said the supporters club was happy that the two organisations came together to further the cause of  Nigerian football.

“This means Nigerian football that has been lacking sponsorship for the past two years will witness a new beginning. We at the Supporters club are genuinely happy over this development,” he said.

Continuing, Ladipo who said the poor financial situation in the football house had not made it easy for the development of the game in the country advised the football house to “see this deal as coming in the most auspicious time.

They should therefore use the opportunity to engage in activities that can give their sponsors the desired mileage.”
He equally advised  Globacom to use the opportunity offered by the deal with NFF to activate their products.
