In furtherance of its efforts to provide internationally acceptable medical services to its various customer, Lagoon hospitals group last week opened a new specialist care centre to be known as Lagoon Specialists Suites (LSS) in Victoria Island area o Lagos.
The facility, according to the Chairman Hygeia Group, Prof. Emmanuel Elebute, is fully equipped with state- of -the -art medical equipment and will also leverage on the skills and expertise of its consultants including Nigerian specialists team based and trained in UK
Briefing journalists during a media presentation of the facility in Lagos, Elebute who promised that the hospitals would continue to improve on their services said the LSS is solely dedicated to consulting suites for out patients, particularly those residing at Ikoyi and Victoria Island respectively.
Speaking, the newly appointed Chief operating Officer of the Hospital, Mr. Joe Hazel noted that Lagoon Specialist Suites will cater for those individuals who now should not need to travel out of Nigeria to receive specialist care. These clients he said, can now enjoy a level of dedicated service with excellent standards.
According Hazel, emphasis at LSS would be on first class clinical care with exceptional customer care experience. “Both the ambience and atmosphere are of the highest standards while the staff will continue to be extremely professional, cordial and helpful at all times”, he added.
Hazel reeled out services to be provided at LSS to include; general surgery, paediatric surgery, colorectal, plastic, orthopaedic, cardio-thoracic, urology surgeries, gynaenecology, cardiology, neurology, diabetology and haemtology, among others.
Speaking, one of the hospital’s UK based specialists, disclosed that the clinics will run by appointment between 8:30 AM to 5:30PM, Mondays to Friday and Saturday will begin by 8:30AM to 1:30 PM.
“We will continue to focus on market leadership through recruitment of highly qualified personnel, installation of state- of -the -art equipment and unwavering attention to provide unsurpassed patient experience”.
It could be recalled that Lagoon Apapa and Ikeja hospitals recently became the 1st hospitals in sub-Saharan Africa to earn accreditation from joint commission international (JCI), the global acclaimed and recognised agency certifying hospitals and healthcare organisations with world standards and best practice in healthcare delivery.
