ABUJA-The Federal Commissioner in-charge of Ebonyi State of the National Population Commission, NPC, Chief Fabian Jackson Nwachukwu, and his wife, Ugo, have been killed as a result of injuries they sustained from a ghastly motor accident which occurred along the Abuja-Lokoja road.
Chief Nwachukwu conducted the 2006 Population and Housing Census in Gombe State where he distinguished himself.
Announcing the sad incident which occurred last Tuesday, Chairman of National Population Commission, Chief Sam’ila Danko Makama, said the deceased was committed to the mission and vision of the commission.
A statement issued said Makama had in separate letters informed President Goodluck Jonathan, and the Secretary to the Government of the Federation, SGF, Senator Anyim Pius Anyim, of the passage of late Nwachukwu.
Chief Makama pointed out the far-reaching contributions Chief Nwachukwu made to the mission and vision of the commission.
