Melting shop’s collapse didn’t halt production – Delta Steel

THE Delta Steel Company, DSC, a subsidiary of Global Infrastructure Nigeria Limited, Owvian-Aladja, Delta State, has denied media report, that production was halted following the collapse of the steel melting shop at the company.

The company said that the halting of production had nothing to do with negligence as a similar incident had occurred in 2003 at the central maintenance component of the company and was fixed two years before the core investor bought over DSC

A statement by the company’s Acting General Manager, AGM, Corporate Affairs, Mr. Kes Agbosa, said that normal production had since resumed at the plant after the damage, with adequate provision made to avoid a recurrence as Ovwian-Aladja area, where the company is located, falls within the heavy rain storm zone.
