Amaechi tasks churches on consolidation of amnesty gains

PORT HARCOURT – TO further consolidate on the peace brought about by the Federal Government’s amnesty programme in the Niger Delta region, churches have been urged to come up with literatures that would promote healthy values among youths and children in the area.

Governor Chibuike Amaechi, who made the appeal, yesterday, in Port Harcourt while declaring open a five-day exhibition programme organised by Believers Love World, aka Christ Embassy, at Isaac Boro Park in Port Harcourt, said churches have a major role to play in consolidating the gains of the amnesty programme.

The governor said state government was willing to partner with churches and other allied bodies to drive behavioural development and other related issues in the state.
