Kano -The All Nigeria Peoples Party’s (ANPP) Presidential Candidate, Gov. Ibrahim Shekarau of Kano state has stressed the need for all contestants to accept the outcome of the election in good faith.
He told newsmen shortly after casting his vote at Giginyu Special Primary School in Nassarawa local government area on Saturday, that, “if the election is free, fair and credible, then the participants should accept the verdict of the people”.
He expressed satisfaction with the orderly and peaceful conduct of the exercise in the state saying he had not received any information about malpractices or violence from any part of the state.
The presidential candidate who described the massive turnout of voters as “impressive and encouraging’’ pointed out that “the turnout last week was not up to fifty percent of the registered voters’’.
Shekarau prayed that the country be blessed with a president, who would work hard for peaceful coexistence of Nigerians and rapid development of the nation.
