LAGOS – CHAIRMAN of Hausa Community in Lagos State, Alhaji Sanni Abubakar, has appealed on the southerners to sheathe their swords and not retaliate the killing in the north as it would not affirm the unity of our nation.
Speaking with newsmen yesterday, the Seriki of Berger Suya, in Lagos, condemned the senseless killings of innocent citizens and the destruction of property in some northern states, stressing: “Violence is not the best way of making a case in a democratic dispensation.
I see no reason why any one would resolve to killing and destroying homes and please of worships as the best way of seeking justice. I am calling on my brothers in the north to stop the ruthless killings.”
