Court adjourns ruling on Atuche wife’s suit

LAGOS – A Federal High Court sitting in Lagos, has adjourned to May 11, to rule on the application by wife of the former Managing Director of Bank PHB, Mr. Francis Atuche, Elizabeth, in which she is seeking to defreeze her personal account that was frozen by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC.

She is praying the court for leave to apply for the discharge or set aside the ex-parte order, procured by the EFCC, upon which her account was attached, alongside known accounts and assets of her husband on March 1, 2010. Trial judge in the matter is Justice Binta Nyako.

According to Mrs Atuche, through her counsel, there was no evidence and material facts placed before the court,  linking her to the charges preferred against her husband by the EFCC.
