OSOGBO- Staff and students of the Ladoke Akintola University Teaching Hospital, Osogbo ,Thursday, held a special thanksgiving service for the failure of Oyo state governor, Otunba Alao Akala to win his re-election into the Agodi government house, Ibadan.

The institution which is jointly owned by the Oyo and Osun state governments became a subject of controversy following the unilateral relocation of the teaching hospital arms of the institution in Osogbo to Ogbomoso by Governor Akala.

Similarly,  Osun State Governor, Ogbeni Rauf Aregbesola has described the victories recorded by the Action Congress of Nigeria ACN in both Oyo and Ogun states as an indication of the resolve of the electorate to reject bad governments in the two states.

Aregbesola in a statement signed by his Director of Communication and Strategy, Mr. Semiu Okanlawon in Osogbo  said the rejection of the Peoples Democratic Party in both states, as evident in the defeat suffered by their candidates in the Tuesday’s governorship polls, should serve as lessons to those in authorities that service to the people is the only essence of governance.
