Probe murders in Edo, BNC urges Oshiomhole

BENIN – THE Benin National Congress, BNC, a socio-cultural organisation in Edo State, has called on Governor Adams Oshiomhole to set up a commission of inquiry to investigate the alleged killings and destruction of property in the state.

BNC in a statement  by its Director of Publicity  Dr David Ekomwenrenren, recalled the recent attack on Prince Ekpen Erediauwa, by Osakpanwa Eriyo and the subsequent killing of two persons on Lagos Street,  by alleged suspected loyalists of Eriyo and stressed the need for a committee of inquiry to investigate the killings with a view to bringing the culprits to book.

According to the statement, “We are not unaware of the natural role of the BNC in this season of absurdities that has been visited on our fatherland by a bunch of disgruntled politicians.

Our resort to understudying ever since the matter attained sad commentary dimension was based on the need to base our action on very thorough research, and from what we have observed with facts and figures, it has become expedient to call on the Governor to set up a Commission of Inquiry to unravel the immediate and remote causes of the mayhem.
